The Interactive Map of Public Support of Chernivtsi "Poruch" poruch.gamesforcities.com allows you to learn about the possibilities of receiving free services in the Chernivtsi community.
It was created as part of the "Spaces for Growth" project of the Chernivtsi Regional Association of Social Development together with the urban coalition "Ro3kvit" and the Play The City organization.
As its developer Ekim Tan, an architect and candidate of sciences in game design at the Play the City organization, noted during the presentation of the service, the Map works in an autonomous mode and is managed by the community. So anyone who wants can mark their own support offers on the map: from classes for children and trainings for adults to providing hairdressing, sewing or other services on a volunteer basis.
During the presentation, a civic support game was also held, which brought together around a large map of the city public activists, educators, students, philanthropists, internally displaced persons, and representatives of local authorities of Chernivtsi. The result of the game was agreements between the participants on future cooperation. For example, future architects will write their theses in close contact with public initiatives to protect the rights of people with disabilities to ensure the accessibility of new buildings. And in one of the largest shelters for IDPs in Chernivtsi, eco-activists will set up information stands for children and special houses for beneficial insects.
The initiative is implemented by the NGO “Chernivtsi Regional Association for Social Development” and the urban coalition Ro3kvit together with Dutch partners INBO, STIPO, Play the city and is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.
