Families from Donetsk region living in the shelter needed conditions for cooking. Now, in the renovated kitchen, not only the residents of the shelter prepare fresh meals for their families.
Also here, philanthropists set up the production of free lunches, which are distributed to forcibly displaced persons in Chernivtsi.
Thanks to the implementation of the project, the forced migrants received not only the provision of their basic needs, but also improved their psycho-emotional state.
Along with this, the public organization "Happy Family" did a lot of construction and repair work to bring the shelter building into a habitable condition on its own, carried out all communications, replaced windows and doors, furnished and much more.
However, they needed support for the painting work and the arrangement of the stairs, so in the second round they again applied to the community support program from AREAC and received funds also for the further arrangement of the shelter.
In general, in the building of this shelter, which is located in the very center of Chernivtsi on st. Shevchenko, 13, there is an opportunity in the future to create comfortable living conditions for up to 8 families. So, thanks to benefactors, the owners of the shelter are moving towards this goal.
