Name of the initiative: High-quality and safe education without electrical restrictions!
Many Ukrainian schools do not have equipment for alternative power supply in case of a power outage. Also, because of the war, there is a lack of funding for extracurricular activities with children and extended day groups.
To solve these problems, the initiative group of the largest school in the city of Zastavna implemented a project for the integration of IDP students into the local community.
With the funds received from the micro-grant, charging stations were purchased for the school, cosmetic repairs were made to the main room for the extended day group, many materials were purchased for extracurricular activities with children, excursions and other activities were organized.
- Thanks to the initiative, the level of adaptation and integration of IDP children into the school team and the community in general will increase, says one of the authors of the initiative, the director of the Zastavniv School, Nadiya Bachynska. - And parents of students of lower grades will have more opportunities to improve the financial situation of their families, because the children will be busy at school in various art therapy activities in the afternoon.
The first event of the initiative was a charity fair, in which all the children of the school participated. They sold not only self-baked goodies, but also various souvenirs and decorations made at master classes during the extended day group visit.
Also, the initiative group conducted many other thematic classes and excursions with the involvement of psychologists, speech therapists, teachers and parents to increase the level of awareness of the participants of the educational process, as well as IDPs of the community and local residents in various spheres of social life, discussion of current problems, etc.
As a result of the initiative, the psycho-emotional state of the participants of the educational process improved, a charging station was installed for an uninterrupted supply of electricity for the school, cosmetic repairs of the premises were carried out for the comfortable functioning of the extended day group.
