Problems in the community can be solved together: unite with like-minded people and create your own initiative. SCLR program applicants from the public organization "Help and Hope" spoke about the importance of public activity and the step-by-step path to obtaining funds for their own projects at the first training of the project "The success story of initiative groups - the path to self-development and integration" on November 8.
It took place in Chernivtsi in the communal center "Turbota" in the day care department for persons with disabilities. The participants of the training learned the basics of writing grant applications and got acquainted with the platforms where you can find suitable opportunities for obtaining funding for issues important to the development of the community.
- Participants worked in groups, created and presented their own projects, and the results were impressive! We saw five radically different, but very interesting ideas that confirm the importance of collective creativity and initiative, - said Renat Sharipov, one of the developers of the training. - As part of this project, we also handed over the necessary equipment: an EcoFlow RIVER 2 PRO СH charging station (768 Wh) and a rechargeable PELSAN LED lamp for emergency lighting. This is support that will help the Care Center in its important work.
No one can better understand their needs and find the best way to solve problems than people who need support themselves. This proves the experience of the public organization "Help and Hope", which grew from an ordinary initiative group of volunteers who had to flee from hostilities in the East, to a professional public organization that now provides support to IDPs and other vulnerable categories of people not only in Chernivtsi, but also other regions of Western Ukraine. This was noted by representatives of NGO AREAC - Chernivtsi Regional Association of Social Development and HEKS/EPER Romania, who were present at the training.
The next trainings on the implementation of own initiatives within the framework of this project will take place in a modular town for IDPs in Chernivtsi and some other social support institutions of the city.
