шафа1

The "Cabinet of Kindness" space for giving clothes and household items to people with disabilities, forced migrants and other most vulnerable residents of the community opened on October 30 in Novodnistrovsk.

- This is the only place where people can get warm things and other essentials free of charge, said one of the organizers of this project, the head of the charity fund "Support and Development Foundation" Tetyana Danyliuk. - Therefore, many people come here not only from Novodnistrovsk, but also from other settlements. We help IDPs, local people with disabilities, and families with many children.

Most of the things are brought by local people: some have children who have grown up, some simply did an audit in their closets and decided to share the excess. There is a lot of children's clothes - but there is always a lack of bed linen and shoes.

- We moved here from Donetsk region, what were we wearing, all my clothes are from here, - said one of the regular visitors of the space. - The pension and state aid are barely enough for food, and if we had to buy clothes, I don't know how we would survive.

The city council provided free of charge a space for giving out used items in one of the buildings of the city hospital. With the funds of the project, it was equipped with racks for clothes, shelves and cabinets, and volunteers were organized in the space. The authors of the "Kindness Closet" project also provided a place for washing contaminated items and purchased a washing machine and dryer.
