01What is SCLR?
The Survivor and community-led crisis response (SCLR) approach focuses on the natural activity, creativity and capabilities of communities/communities affected by any crisis, in order to encourage and support them in identifying and implementing initiatives that improve their immediate well-being, help eliminate the root causes of the crisis in a timely manner, strengthen long-term sustainability, accelerating social cohesion and responsibility. This approach involves the transfer of authority in the organization of assistance directly to representatives of affected communities.
-
02Who can receive a mini-grant from the SCLR program?
Applications for mini-grants are submitted and executed by representatives of communities/communities themselves without external intervention of any structures or organizations Registered charitable organizations and public associations, as well as unregistered initiative groups of citizens/representatives of the program's target groups, can receive a mini-grant in the form of targeted charitable assistance for solving the urgent needs of communities. If the initiative group does not have its own registered legal entity, it can submit an application in partnership with another registered organization Such an organization must be entered in the Register of non-profit institutions and organizations. In this case, it is the initiative group that prepares and submits an application for receiving targeted charitable assistance, and in the case of receiving funding, implements and reports in accordance with the approved application. And the registered organization acts as a partner-representative of the initiative group of the community, receives funds on its balance sheet and helps the initiative group with project implementation and reporting.
-
03What is a community initiative group?
Community initiative groups do not require formal registration and include people who need support, such as internally displaced persons; citizens in difficult life circumstances as a result of the war; women with children; large families; people with disabilities and others.
-
04Who is a community facilitator?
The facilitator provides comprehensive support to partners in the implementation of SCLR initiatives. In particular, it helps initiative groups (communities) in writing an application; accompanies and monitors applicants during the implementation of mini-projects, helps initiative groups establish cooperation with public organizations, local self-government bodies, territorial communities, volunteer initiatives, etc.; acquaints initiative groups with mini-granting algorithms and procedures; supports them in the preparation of reporting documents; collects "best practices" among community support projects and disseminates them in the community.
